Let's Get Real: Surviving and Succeeding as a Diverse Attorney in Boston

Wednesday, July 17, 2019 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

Description:

Building off last year's discussions about diversity in light of The Boston Globe's Spotlight Series, please join the BBA Diversity & Inclusion Section for the annual "Let's Get Real:  Surviving and Succeeding as a Diverse Attorney in Boston" panel and reception.  This year's program will foster open and thought-provoking conversation about inclusivity in the legal community and the hard questions and topics that matter to Boston's diverse attorneys but are seldom discussed.

Our panelists will draw from their personal and professional experiences on wide-ranging topics such as the challenges of being a trailblazer, dealing with unconscious bias among co-workers and clients, building community as F.O.D. (First. Only. Different.) and how the issues and challenges you may face will evolve over different phases of your legal career.  Attendees are also encouraged to share their questions and perspectives.

This program is part of our BBA Summer Series. All summer associates, interns, new lawyers, law clerks, and recent grads are welcome to attend!
