Reconsidering Arbitration: A Conversation with Judge Young

Wednesday, May 29, 2019 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

Description:

A recent decision by U.S. District Court Judge William G. Young concerning the use of arbitration clauses in commercial transactions challenges the conventional wisdom about the benefits of arbitration.

This presentation will feature discussion about the line between myth and reality concerning the value of arbitration. Are its benefits oversold? Is it always cheaper and faster than litigation? These questions and more will be addressed during a lively conversation with Judge Young.

Transactional attorneys and litigators alike will benefit from hearing Judge Young’s perspective from the bench on the ubiquity of arbitration clauses.
