The Washington Update for Registered Investment Advisers

Wednesday, October 16, 2019 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

Description:

SEC Chairman Jay Clayton has put in motion a very aggressive rulemaking agenda for asset management firms.  Rules include Regulation Best Interest and related matters, proxy voting guidance, a concept release that asks whether retail customers should have greater access to private funds, potential rules amending the Advisers Act custody rule and advertising rule, and much more.  At the same time, lawmakers are contemplating legislation on cybersecurity/privacy, cryptocurrency, retirement, and proxy voting.  This interactive sessions will provide an update from David Tittsworth, Counsel at Ropes & Gray and a longtime Washington, DC observer.
