CLE: Supervised Parenting Time: When, How and Why Appropriate?

Tuesday, December 10, 2019 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

To register for this event, please log in to the Boston Bar web site.

Description:

Supervised parenting time may occur during a divorce or child custody case if there are concerns regarding a child’s well-being or safety.  What circumstances or reasons must exist in order for a court to find supervised parenting time appropriate?  Who supervises the parenting time? What conditions must be met, and for how long must a parent with supervised parenting comply, before the supervision restriction is lifted, if ever?

This CLE’s expert panel, including two Probate & Family Court judges, a parenting supervisor expert, and experienced attorneys, will examine the difficult issues surrounding supervised parenting and offer invaluable insights, strategies, and practical advice for practitioners representing parents involved in supervised parenting situations.  The CLE will also discuss more recent efforts to establish guidelines for court practices regarding supervised parenting.
