AI/Machine Learning + New Privacy/Data Protection Laws and Trends: Can they coexist?

Thursday, November 14, 2019 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Prince Lobel Tye LLP - One International Place, Suite 3700, Boston, MA

Description:

We are at the dawn of a new era of artificial intelligence and machine learning. In future years and decades, AI/ML technologies will lead to profound changes in all aspects of life. At the same time, AI/ML technologies create unprecedented privacy challenges. In an AI-fueled world, security breaches threaten not only financial harms and unauthorized disclosure of personal data, but also physical harms from accidents and cyberattacks - and perhaps even mass disasters. This panel will focus on compliance challenges from the latest legislative and regulatory data protection laws and regulations, handling privacy and security transactional issues in procuring technology products and services, managing liability risk, investigating breaches and accidents, and developing governance programs of policies and procedures to mitigate risk.

The Boston Bar Association's Privacy Cybersecurity & Digital Law and Intellectual Property committees invite you to attend this brown bag program being held in collaboration with the International Association of Privacy Professionals Boston KnowledgeNet Chapter.
