Tuesday, May 3, 2011 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Various Locations - , Boston, MA

Description:

Since the inception of Law Day in the Schools in 1986, every year BBA members celebrate Law Day by volunteering to visit classrooms throughout the community to teach elementary, middle school and high school students and lead mock trials and interactive presentations on topics such as the First Amendment and the Constitution. The program introduces Boston students to the law and the legal profession.  The theme of this year’s Program will be “The Legacy of John Adams – From Boston to Guantanamo.”

Last year over 40 volunteers reached nearly 700 students in the Boston Public Schools.  The Program is slated to begin May 3rd, 4th and 5th of this year.  The commitment is no more than 6 hours including preparation, travel and classroom time.
