Drafting and Negotiating Cloud Computing Agreements: Privacy, Security and Contracting Issues

Monday, December 12, 2011 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

Description:

The global cloud computing market is expected to expand to the hundreds of billions of dollars in the next decade, and most believe that cloud computing is rapidly changing information technology at an unprecedented pace. While increased market competition and consolidation is likely, most organizations are no longer questioning cloud benefits and are instead adopting cloud services at astonishing rates. However, with cloud computing comes substantial risk, particularly at a time when businesses of almost every kind are finding themselves subject to an ever expanding range of state and federal security and privacy laws, document retention requirements, and other standards of accountability. In this session, panelists will discuss the risks associated with cloud computing and how to structure cloud computing agreements to mitigate those risks and protect your clients.
