A fund established through the Boston Bar Foundation to support the public service programs of the Boston Bar Association that focus on mentoring young people and that fulfill Ellen Carpenter’s vision of creating opportunities for the personal and professional enrichment of Boston’s youth.
Donations to the M. Ellen Carpenter Memorial Fund will be used to support the public service programs of the Boston Bar Association that focus on mentoring Boston’s young people and creating opportunities for their personal and professional enrichment. The Fund's first project will be the establishment of one or more M. Ellen Carpenter BBA Summer Jobs Program Fellowships, which will provide stipends to Boston public school students who are placed in public sector and/or non-profit legal offices. The Fund may also support other initiatives of the Boston Bar Association that serve the needs of the young people of Boston, under the direction of the Boston Bar Association Public Service Committee and the Boston Bar Foundation Board of Trustees.
